Dayle A. Dermatis ~ The Interview

Dayle A. Dermatis

About the Author
Dayle A. Dermatis has so many pseudonyms, you thinks she was a spy. She’s one half of the writing team of Sarah Dale and one half of the writing team of Sophie Mouette, and writes under a variety of other names in a variety of other genres as well—all of which makes it difficult to remember who she is when she’s signing a book.

When bored, she travels the world, often via motorcycle, but loves coming home to her Craftsman home near the ocean.

She’s never met a cheese she didn’t like.

A Little Night Music
Hannah Montgomery has wanted sexy rocker Nate Fox from the first time she saw him perform. Hired as his PR consultant, she uses her passion for him and his music to repair his faltering career. But can they sustain that high note despite trash-talking tabloids and the temptations of the road?

Q: What is the strangest source of writing inspiration you’ve ever had?
A:
I don’t know if it’s “strange,” exactly, but the mostly naked (just a g-string and boots) go-go dancer in the window of a nightclub in Prague finally made it into a story of mine. I also had a dream once about time-traveling sex therapists…that’s going to end up as a novel someday!

Q: If you were a world ruler and you were given a choice of 3 laws to enact, what would they be?
A:
(1) Be nice to each other and respect each other. No exceptions. Respect means acceptance. (2) Put away your shopping cart or I will personally come and send you to the special place in hell reserved for people who leave their carts in the middle of the parking lot. (3) Neuter your pets. Be nice to them and respect them too, while you’re at it.

Q: If you were a Superheroine, would you wear tights and a cape?
A:
No, I’d probably wear a corset and thigh-high spike-heeled boots. Because if I were a Superheroine, I’d have the ability to run and kick ass wearing a corset and thigh-high spike-heeled boots! (And I’d have bionic boobs that defied gravity, too.)

Q: Would you live in a biodome for 5 years? What would your must have accessories be?
A:
I’m assuming all the people I love are already there. So, a computer with Internet access. An unlimited supply of books. And Styx as the biodome house band. (I’m not going 5 years without a Styx concert!)

Q: You’re the heroine of your book, why do you fall in love with the hero?
A:
Ohmigod, he’s the sexy rock star of my dreams! He’s got issues, but I’m strong enough to help him through them, and he’s self-confident enough to let me help. He has incredible passion and talent for music. And that remote-controlled vibrator…ahem!
