The original news: Samhain Publishing closing (2016)
In early 2016, Samhain Publishing announced it would be closing its doors. The decision affected many romance and paranormal authors who had titles published with Samhain, and prompted real concern from readers who had been collecting their favorite series through the imprint.
The closure was completed over the following months. Rights to most titles reverted to their authors, who then either re-released those books independently, moved them to other publishers, or rewrote them under new titles.
What this meant for Michelle M. Pillow’s catalog
Only a small portion of my catalog had been with Samhain – the rest of my work was already either with my own imprint, The Raven Books LLC, or other publishers. The major series readers know me for were never with Samhain and were not affected:

I bought my Samhain ebook – is it still readable?
Yes. If you purchased an ebook through Samhain or through a retailer (Amazon, Kobo, Apple, B&N, Google Play) before the closure, the file you already downloaded remains in your library. Retailers do not revoke files when a publisher closes. However, Samhain stopped issuing new editions, and any updated covers or re-edited versions live with the rights-holding author.
Where to find current editions of any title
The simplest place to find any Michelle M. Pillow book in its current edition is the Reading Order Booklist or the Complete Booklist on this site. Every entry links to the current cover, the right retailer pages, and the right series page. If a Samhain-era cover surfaces in a used bookstore or a third-party reseller, the current edition is the canonical version.
