Michelle Miles ~ The Interview
Michelle Miles
Michelle Miles writes in several genres but finds she enjoys creating other worlds best of all. With a hectic full time job and a son, she finds time to write in the wee hours of the night. She began her writing career in serialized fiction before breaking into e-publishing with her first contemporary novella, TALK DIRTY TO ME. She is a member of Romance Writers of America and is a native Texan residing in suburban Fort Worth. In her spare time she enjoys hockey, buying shoes, drinking coffee, and reading.
Nice Girls Do
Even nice girls can be bad…
Cara Davis wants to be a nice girl. She really does. So she quits her job at the strip club and takes on a job at The Bitter End coffee shop. She even dates the owner’s very nice—and nice looking—son David.
Mark Sawyer used to be bad, but now he’s mended his ways. He comes to The Bitter End to make amends with his mother, but his attempt is rebuffed by both her and his baby brother.
Worse, David is dating the newest hire, a buxom blonde Mark is sure he’s seen somewhere before. He sets his sights on Cara with every intention of stealing her away. Sometimes it’s good to be bad, and who said turning over a new leaf was such a good idea, anyway?
With the coffee house in danger of closing its doors forever, Cara and Mark team up to save the day. The only problem is, Cara can’t stop herself from falling in love with the bad boy. And damn it, she’s tried so hard to be good!
Like good coffee, the longer Mark and Cara’s desire brews, the stronger it gets. And once their passion percolates, there’s sure to be plenty of steam…
Q: If your muse were to talk behind your back, what secrets would he/she tell?
A: Oh dear. She would tell people I like to cuss. A lot. And probably that I have a short attention span when I’m writing. If I’m really on a deadline, I tend to get up and move around a lot. Depending on the story (like a historical or a time travel for instance), I need things around me to see where I’m going and what I’m doing. Otherwise, I pretty much wing it.
Q: If you were a Superheroine, would you wear tights and a cape?
A: Tights make my thighs look fat and no capes! Haven’t you watched The Incredibles?
Q: Your Empress of the Space Station, describe your perfect man.
A: Han Solo! ‘Nuff said.
Q: You are told you have to meet one paranormal creature, no safeguards, what do you choose? What do you bring with you?
A: A Shade and I’d bring Jericho Barrons (Karen Marie Moning’s Darkfever)
Q: If you were a cartoon, which character would you be?
A: Bloo from Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends
Q: You have to ask a fictional character out on a date—who would you ask and what would you do together?
A: Jericho Barrons! And we’d kick ass together hehe (okay, so…I have a fixation…)
Q: What would be a dream one-time gig and what would be the pay?
A: A chance to review high dollar designer shoes for a big fashion magazine and the pay would be to keep the shoes I reviewed. Duh!
