Secrets broke her heart... and have now come back from the grave to haunt her.
So far, Lorna Addams’ forties are not what she expected. After a very public embarrassment, she finds it difficult to trust her judgment when it comes to new friendships and dating. She might be willing to give love a second chance when she meets the attractive William Warrick, if only she could come to terms with what her husband did to her and leave it in the past.
How is a humiliated empty nest widow supposed to move on with her life? It’s not like she can develop a sixth sense, séance her ex back, force him to tell her why and give her closure. Or can she?

Fun fact! from the Narrator, Rebecca Cook
I'm the narrator of this book and I record in my basement home studio. My house was built in 1905 and came with three spirits. I can't see or talk to them, but I've had several friends come through over the years and they describe the same experiences and feelings, so I don't doubt it. I certainly feel them at times.
I had a friend who is a medium go through the house when I first moved in to cleanse the bad energy. One spirit was a dark one that had to be removed, but the others got to stay.
In my basement lives Richard, a grumpy old man who loves cats and jazz, but hates kids. He also likes to mess with my recordings when he's in a bad mood. Some days, my mic will cut out for no reason. I've replaced or had analyzed all of the equipment with no explanation, so Richard gets credit. And sometimes there will be whispers on the recordings that I can't explain in any way either. One time it was my name in the whispers. I took a few days off because that totally freaked me out!
It's just me, two cats, and my two spirits - Richard and Lily (she's very comforting and lives in the bathroom). For the record, Richard is behaving himself pretty well on this series, so I assume he likes it. He did act up during the big action scene at the very end of this book, so I assume he was not a fan of that antagonist. Or maybe he doesn't like me acting out the seances...
